Red Line full-synthetic D6 ATF is a lower viscosity version of D4 ATF, optimized for better fuel efficiency in CAFE testing. Unlike traditional ATF formulations that start with a higher viscosity and degrade over time, Dexron VI requires a starting viscosity of less than 6.4 cSt with a final drop to no less than 5.5 cSt. Red Line D6 maintains a viscosity drop to no less than 6.1 cSt, making it suitable for applications where Dexron III was previously recommended (except for certain hand-crank transmissions).<
