After lifting the rear end, our Land Cruisers’ panhard bars are no longer horizontal. This causes bump-steer issues and pulls the axle out of center alignment. The Eimkeith PCK returns the panhard bar to horizontal, eliminates the need for an aftermarket adjustable panhard bar, and raises the roll center to improve handling back to “stock” feel. This is the only RIGHT way to fix your panhard angle.
With an FJ80 PCK, the basic lift height correction positions are as follows:
2″ – use the lower hole on the axle bracket, stock hole on the frame side
3″ – use the upper hole on the axle bracket, stock hole on the frame
4″ – utilize the lower hole on the axle bracket and the latest hole in the frame side bracket
5″ – use the upper hole on the axle bracket and the new hole in the frame side bracket
Make sure to determine lift height while your typical weight is loaded, so the panhard is as close to neutral as possible for typical use.
