This bolt kit is mandatory to install the Synergy Jeep JL / JLU / JT front track bar and sector shaft brace kit (# 8869-01) on your Jeep JL / JLU / JT with an updated cast iron steering box. Due to Chrysler’s recent TSB# 08-074-20 REV. B, this hardware kit is required for vehicles using the updated (cast iron) steering box. If the vehicle features an aircraft-grade steering box, then the factory steering gearbox bolts are sufficient for securing the Synergy Jeep JL / JLU / JT front track bar and sector shaft brace kit (# 8869-01) to the frame rail of the vehicle. If the vehicle features a cast iron steering box, then the four factory steering gearbox bolts are not sufficient due to their length and will need to be replaced with this bolt kit.
