New Front/Auxiliary Fuel Tank Skid Plate for 1966-77 Ford Broncos. This auxiliary gas tank skid plate mounts to the underside of your front fuel tank and is held in place by two mounting straps w/j-bolts. The auxiliary fuel tank skid plate is required to assemble your factory front gas tank. This skid plate is made to duplicate the original auxiliary skid plate. There were two types of skid plate found on the auxiliary fuel tanks of the 1966-77 Ford Bronco. This skid plate has a full length recess in the skid plate whereas the other style had a small clearance recess instead. We have tested this to make sure and our auxiliary skid plate will replace either style of skid plate with no problem.
